The Creative Process Behind My Hand-Thrown Pottery
Each piece of my hand-thrown pottery begins as a simple lump of clay and evolves through a thoughtful, hands on creative process. I start by centering the clay on the wheel, shaping each form slowly. Once the form is thrown, each piece is carefully trimmed, refined, and left to dry slowly before its first firing. I then glaze every piece by hand, layering colors and finishes to create unique textures and depth. No two pieces are exactly alike as small variations in shape, glaze, and surface are part of what make handmade pottery special
